THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI former state secretary Panniyan Raveendran criticised Sunni Muslim leader Kanthapuram Aboobacker Musliyar for his statement against women. Panniyan asked Kanthapuram to respond with dignity. He has no right to insult women in the name of religion, he said.
Gender equality is not possible. Many of the things done by women are not possible by men. Giving birth and looking after children are nature’s gift to women. In general, women are not able to withstand a major crisis. They even lack courage to perform major surgeries including open heart, Kanthapuram had stated yesterday.
