KOZHIKODE: Contract company Sree Ram EPC will give Rs 3 lakh to the family of auto driver Naushadh, who died on Thursday after jumping into a manhole to save the lives of two labourers trapped inside it. The company made the above announcement on Friday.
Earlier during the day, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy visited Naushadh’s house and offered to give his wife a government job based on her qualification.
Naushadh was a native of Karuvasseri and he died after inhaling poisonous gas inside the manhole. The two contract labourers had also died in the incident.
