My office has no role in recruitment scam: Chennithala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has said that he was ready for any inquiry into police job recruitment scam. He asserted at a press conference here on Wednesday that his office had no role in the job scam.

“The allegation that prevail against the home ministry regarding the job scam is an unfortunate thing. If the Crime Branch feels that I have a role, let them investigate. When an accused in a case blurt out a minister’s name, it has become a fashion among certain media groups to go behind that. This is not an ethical practice. However, no mainstream media has gone behind that false allegation. It shows they were convinced of the truth. My office has no hand in the job fraud,” said Chennitha, who also asked how his office seal would be of any help to a candidate in getting a job.

To another question, Chennithala said SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellapally Natesan’s Samatva Munnetta Yatra was only aimed at fostering communal hatred. “The aim is to create divide among the people. His policies are against Sree Narayana Guru’s priciples. People will spurn the party to be formed by Vellapally,” he added.
