Two killed in car-bus collision in Thodupuzha

THODUPUZHA: A woman and her relative were killed after the car in which they were travelling collided with a KSRTC bus. The incident happened when the woman was returning after picking up her son from the airport. Three including her husband and children sustained injuries in the accident.

 The dead has been identified as Annamma Antony (45) of Mundakkayam and her husband’s nephew Bobby (35). Her husband Antony (56) and children Manu (26) and Meenu (22) have been admitted in a private hospital in Thodupuzha. The injures of Antony and Manu are stated to be serious.

The incident happened Sunday morning near Muttam-Erattupetta route. The incident happened when the family was returning after picking up Manu, who was in the Gulf, from Nedumbassery airport. The KSRTC bus was proceeding to Perinthalmanna. The ghastly accident could have occurred when Bobby dozed off at the wheels.

Bobby and Annamma died on the spot itself. Bobby was running an electrical shop. He leaves behind his wife Jessy and three-year-old daughter Anna.
