KOZHIKODE: In the local body polls, the Janata Dal (U) candidates were defeated selectively by the congress, said party leader Varghese George. The setback suffered in the last assembly polls in Palakkad was witnessed in the local body polls also.
Talking to reporters before the JD (U) meet in the district, he said the activists are dissatisfied at the party’s defeat. The party’s seat has shortened to one-third after they left the Left Front. He said they will cooperate with Janata Dal (S) only after holding discussions at the national level, he said.
