KOLLAM: The CBI has found irregularities worth crore in state’s Cashew Development Corporation. Cashew was bought from a company that did not partake in the tender, the CBI alleged. Also the cashew nuts were sold without following the criteria.
The cashew nuts were sold to 25 companies in Kollam and one in Delhi. The corporation spent the financial aid given for employees’ gratuity to renovate the building. The CBI will file the charge sheet soon.
