CM, Saritha as ‘couple’ in flex board, clash at Secretariat

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police had a tough time when secretariat employees’ political divisions crossed the limits on Wednesday. The police had to intervene when the organization in favour of the Congress and the one in favour of the CPM together staged a flex board war leading to a clash. The clash broke out after a big flex board of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Saritha S Nair posing as couple was installed.

A board with the title ‘Ivar Hajurkkacheriyude Aishwaryam’ was installed near the old assembly. The number of Saritha’s calls to the office of the chief minister and the ones made to Saritha’s phone from the office of the chief minister were written in that. The organization owing allegiance to the congress staged protests after seeing it. An organization in favour of the Congress had erected a board against Pinarayi Vijayan the other day. But in the evening the board was removed and instead the CPM supporters installed a flex board of Oommen Chandy and Saritha. A clash broke out when congress supporters tried to remove it from there. The police intervened and withdrew the two groups from there. The police later removed all the flex boards and banners installed inside the secretariat.
