THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: V S Sunil Kumar said former minister and KC (M) chairman K M Mani openly thanked the opposition for their statement in the assembly about the dual justices shown at K M Mani and Minister K Babu. The opposition staged protests after the speaker denied permission for the adjournment notice. Following that, a symbolic assembly session was convened by a team led by V S Sunil Kumar at the well of the house. Mani was happy to hear the statement of Sunil Kumar about the dual justices seen recently.
Sunil Kumar said when the home department registered FIR against Mani, protected K Babu in a similar allegation. When I said this in the assembly, Mani encouraged me by hitting in the desk, hugged me and later thanked me. “Thanks, at least you (opposition) said it”, was his response. Mani later greeted opposition leader with folded hands. Some opposition MLAs have captured this in their mobiles.
