TTIs observe lightning strike at Thiruvananthapuram Railway station

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A chunk of Travelling Ticket Inspectors (TTIs) went on a lightning strike at the Thiruvananthapuram Railway station on Friday, putting the commuters into inconvenience. The strike was held by TTIs under SRMU to protest against the alleged attack on a TTI in Kannur. They maintained the strike would be extended if action was not taken against the culprits.

Following the strike, the distribution of tickets went haywire at the railway station.  As counters remained close, the commuters ran from pillar to post for tickets. Meanwhile, railway authorities said TTIs who were not part of the SRMU union would be called in to distribute tickets.
