Only Central projects figured in Governor’s policy address: V Muraleedharan

THIRUVANANTHAPURM: BJP leader V Muraleedharan has alleged that the highlight of Governor’s policy address to the Assembly today was Central government’s schemes and projects. The government tried to reap political mileage out of those projects by getting the governor to declare them .

“The governor was made to deliver the address by the UDF government with an eye on Assembly election when they had just two months’ left in power. Narendra Modi  has given Kerala so much benefits that it had not received even during the UPA government’s tenure.

Projects including Vizhinjam project received a boost only after BJP government came to power in the Centre. Flaunting all those projects as their own, is ridiculous. During UPA government’s tenure, sufficient Central aid was not available for various prjects. Not only that, moves were being made to torpedo the project.

For the development of roads and bypasses, Kerala got help as never before in its history.
Muraleedharan said using the Assembly and Governor as tools for the election campaign was highly objectionable.
