Youth dies after car hits post

KOCHI: A car hit a post near Edapally Chembumukku Bridge on Thursday and the youth who was travelling in the car died soon after the accident. Three other persons in the car were seriously injured. The accident happened in the wee hours of the morning.

The car that was moving towards Kakkanad lost control and overturned while it was trying to overtake another car. Though the police shifted all the four passengers to hospital, Mithun succumbed to his injuries.

The injured are Thrissur Nattuvetti native Suresh Babu’s son Shijil Babu (21), Muthukulam Choolatheruvu native R Sreelan (26) and Muthukulam Raghunath’s son Roopesh (26) and they have been admitted to Ernakulam Medical Centre.
