NEDUMANGAD: An aged couple died after consuming acid as they were suffering from old age ailments. The two has been identified as Sreedharan Nadar (76) and his wife Ammukutty (72) of Nedumangad. The two staying with their only daughter Chandrika was found in an unconscious stage early Thursday morning. Though the two were taken to the medical college hospital, their lives could not be saved.
A suicide note of Nadar was recovered from their house. The note said they were taking the extreme step due to their ailments and nobody is responsible for it. The police have taken the note into custody. The couple was staying with their widowed daughter and grandson.
