Body of auto driver found in canal

KOTTAYAM:  A body of an auto driver, who intervened in a family dispute, was found in a canal. The body identified as Sajimon (38) of Aarppookkara was found in a canal near the Pulikuttisseri Bridge. The police is in search of Jikku of Pulikuttisseri in connection with the incident. The family dispute got worse last night.

Roymon alias Chandy (45) and Kochumon alias Mathew Kurien (52), brothers of Jikku’s stepmother Thankamma, have been admitted at the Kottayam Medical College Hospital in a serious condition. The auto carrying the two was driven by Sajimon. The vehicle has also been damaged.

Jikku is the son of Thomas Kutty from his first wife. Jikku had asked his father some cash from the property of Kutty sold recently. A dispute arose when Thankamma refused to give the money. In a fit of rage, he beat her severely and she in return sought her brothers’ help. Sajimon intervened when the fight got worse.
