Stranger commits suicide in bakery owner’s house


THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a shocking incident, a stranger barged into the house of a bakery owner and committed suicide. He ran into the house out bursting and took the extreme step in a bed room on the second floor. The incident happened Monday morning at the house, located at Pulikode Lane in Pettah, belonging to a person, who has a bakery in Pallimukku.

Only the bakery owner’s wife was in the house at the time of the incident. He entered the house through the kitchen door which was opened, yelling that somebody is coming to kill him. The woman ran outside and came back with the local residents nearby. By the time, they came back he had locked the kitchen door from inside.

The man was found hanging when the door was forcefully broke open. He took a shawl from the almirah and committed suicide. His shirt was lying in the bed. A slip of General Hospital was recovered from his shirt’s pocket.

The slip had the name--Babu (49), Kannammoola. A native of Chennilode, he was a regular visitor of Sreekandeswaram temple. The Pettah police reached the place and took the necessary steps.
