THIRUVANANHAPURAAM:BJP national executive committee member Shobha Surendran has said that if the government puts SNDP yogam general secretary behind the bars in the name making controversial speeches, it will have to pay a heavy price.
“Vellapally is not the lone person who is speaking against unequal justice for all communities. If the government starts arresting all those people, the cells in Poojappura jail will not be sufficient for them,” she said at a press conference here.
“Earlier Congress leader Antony had also come out to say that there was no equal justice for all in the State. When Vellapally repeated that fact, the UDF government has come to take legal action against him and this is to appease the minority communities for votes. When the government kept mum when bishops, Prakash Karat and chief secretary Jiji Thomson came forward with communal statements, it is making all out efforts to attack Vellapally,” she said, adding that the SNDP leader had not humiliated Naushadh but had only talked about injustice in society in his own style.
