THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademy has declared its Pravasi and Gulf Kalasree NRI awards for the year 2015.
Keralites with artistic talents who have been living outside Kerala for more 20 years and who are above 50 years have been considered for the award.
Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Secretary Surya Krishna Murthy said at a Press Conference here on Tuesday that the awards would be presented on March 27 (world drama day) at a function to be held at Kanakakkunnu palace.
The awardees are
North Zone: Girija Marar - Music (Delhi). Evoor Rajendran Pilla- Dance (Delhi); Saddanam Rajagopal – Music (Haryana)
East Zone: Parakkodu Sasi – Drama (Bangal); K V Naryanan-Music (Bengal); Sivashankaran (Assam)
South Zone: Artist K Gopalakrishnan – Drama (Tamil Nadu); J M Raju – Music (Tamil Nadu)
V Sivadasan Nair –Drama (Karnataka).
West Zone: V V Achuthan-Drama (Maharashtra); Vikraman Pilla- Dance (Maharashtra).
Gulf Kalasree awards will be received by
Rama s Kumar – Dance (Doha); Asharaf Kalathodu-Drama (Kuwait); Prakash Vadakara – Drama (Bahrain)
