Solar: Kodiyeri asks Sivarajan Commission to submit interim report

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan asked Justice Sivarajan Commission, probing the solar case, to submit the interim report. Addressing a press meet, he said the revelation of Biju Radhakrishnan, accused in the solar case, that a bribe of Rs 5 crore was given to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy is shocking.

Kodiyeri said the statement of Biju justifies the allegations against the chief minister. The chief minister was of the stand that he will not divulge the details of the talks held with Biju Radhakrishnan at the Ernakulam Guest House. However, Biju had asserted now that they held talks regarding the dividend of team solar. In this context, the judicial commission should take strong steps, he said.

The jail superintendent of Poojappura jail after bypassing rules held talks with Biju. The talks held after duty time, was to prevent the move against the chief minister under the influence of administration. Loknath Mehra was shifted from jail DGP post as he slammed the action of the jail superintendent. The government has faith only in DGP Senkumar. An official of DGP rank is not appointed for the post of vigilance director in order to sabotage the case against Minister K Babu, alleged Kodiyeri.
