One killed in jeep-car collision

 
KILIMANOOR: One person was killed when a jeep and a car collided. Eight including a child was injured in the accident which happened on the MC Road at Kilimanoor Shilpa Junction at 5 am Friday morning.

The dead has been identified as Rajappan Chettiar (65) of Pathanamthitta and a passenger of the jeep. The injured has been identified as Omanakuttan, Kannan, Rajan, his wife Sumarajan, daughter Rakhi, Jyothi, Biju and Prakash.

Those in the jeep were returning after picking their relative from the airport and the car was on their way to the airport to see off their relatives. The injured has been admitted at the Gokulam Medical College Hospital in Venjaramoodu.
