THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The opposition LDF Friday boycotted the budget presentation for the 2016-17 financial year of the UDF Government. They boycotted alleging that the main parts of the budget have been leaked. CPM leader V Sivankutty distributed the leaked parts to the ruling members. The opposition created an uproar by lifting atop the placards. They demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Ministers K Babu and Aryadan Muhammed.
The chief minister continued presenting the budget ignoring the protests of the opposition. They trooped to the well of the house shouting slogans by a team led by opposition leader V S Achuthanandan and then boycotted the assembly proceedings.
