THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The curtains have come down on election campaign in public for Kerala’s 20 Lok Sabha seats. From now onwards, for the election that will take place on Thursday, the campaign will be a silent one.
The vociferous campaign which prolonged for weeks together took the form of festivals in different places. Except for a few quarrels and petty fights, the campaign went off peacefully across the State. In some constituencies, candidates themselves came out on the streets to campaign for themselves.
Today and tomorrow, there will be party discussions and visit of party workers to houses, seeking votes. On the last day of the campaign on Tuesday, BJP leaders Narendra Modi and L K Advani were here in the State. UDF’s main campaigner was Defence Minister A K Antony.
