THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CBI has said in its FIR that the chief minister’s former gunman Salim Raj, who is an accused in the Kadakampally land grab case, has top-level contacts.
The court also said that Salim Raj misused his office and contacts to hamper the investigation in Kadakampally land grab case. Because of his influence, it was not even possible to file an FIR. Moreover, he constantly threatened the victims of the land grab.
The CBI has also made Salim Raj’s wife Shamshad as the 22nd accused while the 21st accused is Salim. The other accused are three officials in Kadakampally and Uliyathara Special Village officer.
Meanwhile, in the FIR related to Kalamassery land grab case, CBI has avoided Salim’s name, saying that it needs some more time to study about his involvement in the case. Five persons including Thrikkakara Village officer are the accused.
