THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala filed an affidavit in the Assam High Court seeking not to consider the plea of lottery king Santiago Martin against the ban in selling Nagaland lottery in the state. The state pointed out that Assam High Court has no right to consider Martin’s plea.
Martin moved the Assam High Court questioning the act of Kerala denying permission to Martin’s old company Future Gaming Solutions to sell Nagaland lottery in the state. Kerala informed the court that a criminal case exists against the directors of Future Gaming Company.
Martin is the first accused in the case registered in the CBI court in Kochi for incurring a loss of Rs 4000 crores to the Sikkim Government in selling lottery.
Future Gaming Solutions and Martin’s business partner John Kennedy are also accused.
