THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Travancore royal family may not oppose amicus curiae Gopal Subramanyam’s report in connection with the Padmanabhaswamy Temple. The family will also not oppose former CAG Vinod Rai’s inspection on the temple revenue and accounts of expenses. They will inform the Supreme Court when the case is considered next time.
Meantime, the royal family will request to retain their rights in the temple rituals. They will inform the court that from times, they were conducting the rituals as it is a part of faith. The amicus curiae had directed to remove their special rights in the temple administration.
