Temple Executive officer to file affidavit against amicus curiae’s report

NEW DELHI:  Padmanabha Swamy Executive officer will file an affidavit in the Surpeme Court, pointing out that amicus curiae did not follow temple tradition while studying the case.

The Supreme Court had on Wednesday said that any move to oppose amicus curiae will be dealt with, seriously. It was in this context that a decision was taken to submit an affidavit against amicus curiae Gopal Subramanyam.

“The amicus curiae had entered the Thevarappura (puja room) with Lakshmi Bai and did puja for about two hours and read Veda texts loudly. This should not have happened as then, it was the sleeping time (yoga nidra) for the deity. Though the amicus curiae was informed about the same, he continued with the puja,” alleged  Temple Executive Officer Bhuvanachandran Nair in his affidavit.

Meanwhile, Travancore Royal family member Moolam Thirunnal Ramavarma has clarified in his affidavit that that the temple riches are public property and considering it as private property was a fault.
