Theatre owners not ready to release Mohanlal film Mr Fraud

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  Theatre owners in the State have backed off from exhibiting Mr Fraud, the Mohanlal film directed by B Unnikrishnan.

With this, the film which was to be released on May 8, has landed in trouble.
The restriction was placed after Unnikrishnan had some issues with Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation.

It is said that the problems between them cropped up, after prominent directors and stars failed to turn up during the inauguration of the Federation office.

The Federation also came up with the allegation that it was at the behest of Unnikrishnan, who is also the secretary of FEFKA (federation of directors and technical experts in the film industry) that no body including stars attended the inaugural ceremony.

The federation had told Unnikrishnan that his film will be allowed to be screened only after problems between them are solved. But Unnikrishnan didn’t listen to the federation’s demand and decided the shooting and releasing date of the film.

Now, according to reports, the Exhibitors Federation itself is getting ready to take the initiative to solve the issue.
