THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State government has submitted before the Supreme Court that the government didn’t show any bias while renewing the bar licences. Renewal was given only to eligible bars.
In the affidavit filed by the government, it said that it was not possible to renew the licences obtained through an interim order. Three-star hotels’ argument against this does not stand.
The government also added that the government’s decision was based on an examination conducted by Excise commissioner.
