THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress leader K Muraleedharan has said that CPM leader M A Baby had come out with allegations against the Congress in order to cover up the ‘trading’ of votes between BJP and CPM.
Muraleedharan alleged that in Thiruvananthapuram many votes were ‘sold off’ to BJP by the CPM. And as a quid pro quo, in certain non prospective seats, the BJP had helped the CPM. Kollam was a case in point, where M A Baby would have got the benefit.
Meanwhile CPI Secretary Pannyan Raveendran has said that Muraleedharan’s statements were not based on the real facts.
