Army not fit for temple administration: Amicus curiae

NEW DELHI: Amicus curiae Gopal Subramanyam has said that Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple administration will not suit army men and those entrusted with the job should have the required experience in that. Unfortunately, persons recommended by the State government do not have sufficient experience in temple administration. What is more important is the idol and the tradition followed in the temple.

He said he was satisfied with the new administrative panel appointed by the Supreme Court. K N Sathees kumar appointed as Temple executive officer is a person with good track record and sufficient expertise in temple administration.

Gopalswamy said his report was based on true evidence.Royal family members had also cooperated with him in collecting evidence."I didn't force jeweller Raju or anyone to give statement. How can I force, since I dont know Malayalam," asked the amicus curiae, who also suggested that in the present context, Royal family members keep themselves away from temple administration.
