Congress eventually lost its upper hand in campaign: Chandy

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  Chief Minister Oommen Chandy told the KPCC Executive meeting that the Congress had lost its upper hand in the later part of the campaign.

The Congress had a clear say when it came to the decision on candidates.
But in the second phase of the campaign, it lost all its superiority.

“The party was on the defensive in the wake of Solar case and other controversy during the campaign. But I still feel that the UDF will win the election with a big margin,” he said.

KPCC president V M Sudheeran said that the UDF would win 15 seats in the election.
The campaign was done very effectively. Community organisations had backed the UDF and in five seats there would be tough competition.
