THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC general secretary P Ramakrishnan Wednesday gave a reply to the show cause notice for his statement against K Sudhakaran, the UDF candidate in Kannur. The reply was sent as a fax message.
Ramakrishnan said that he had not made the statement that K Sudhakaran will be defeated in Kannur. He said that he was trapped. I said Sudhakaran will win but not with a thumping majority. Some approached me for an interview for an online magazine, they then recorded the private dialogues in a hidden camera and handed it over to a channel. Youth Congress is behind the incident, he alleged.
Ramakrishnan said his statements were not clear in the clippings aired by the channel. Politicians share many private things to the media but it is not right to record and telecast it, he said.
Ramakrishnan said that he will face the matter legally. I was in charge of Kasargod parliament constituency, but I campaigned actively for K Sudhakaran in Azheekode assembly constituency in Kannur, he said in the reply.
