THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC chief V M Sudheeran Tuesday asked Kasargod DCC to submit a report after conducting an investigation on the act of Kanhangad municipality granting permission to start a new bar hotel.
The Kanhangad municipality led by UDF granted permission for the new bar hotel the previous day. It was earlier decided not to issue new bar license in local self-governing bodies ruled by Congress. The municipality granted permission for new bar when the government and the KPCC are at loggerheads on the renewal of license for existing bars.
