THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Differences of opinion between KPCC president V M Sudheeran and Excise Minister K Babu over the bar licence issue have worsened even though there has been instructions for talks on the issue.
Minister Babu will be seeing Sudheeran as suggested by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. But, Babu is reportedly pessimistic about the meeting. Babu is of the opinion that there is no point in just two persons discussing the issue. “A diplomatic decision is required on the matter. And, no court has said that licence should not be renewed,” he added.
Today a UDF meeting will be held and it is unlikely to discuss the issue since at party-level a consensus has been reached.
