Solar: Term of judicial commission extended for six months

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The term of the judicial commission probing the solar fraud case involving Saritha S Nair has been extended to six more months. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has signed the order on it. Justice Sivarajan had sought an extension as the term of the panel ends on April 28.

The commission has not obtained a single complaint even after a month of its functioning. The panel has started taking steps to call the accused and political leaders who voiced the allegations. The panel will take statements of people after examining the charge sheet filed by the police in courts. The commission was appointed on October 28, 2013.
