THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former AICC secretary Shanimol Usman has demanded that the connection between Union Minister of State K C Venugopal and Solar case prime accused Saritha S Nair be probed. At the KPCC executive meeting here, she said party commission should be instituted to conduct the probe.
Earlier, Alappuzha DCC president A A Shukkoor had alleged that Shanimol was not ready to campaign for Venugopal. But she said that she had taken part in the campaign but Venugopal and Shukkoor had not included her for the campaign.
She also alleged that Shukkoor was like Venugopal’s servant.
Though sounding optimistic about UDF win in the election, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said he was not sure about the minority votes that would have gone to the UDF.
