Revenue Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan has asked chief conservator of Forest V Gopinath to see whether Joyce’ land comes under the forest area, whether it has got title deed and whether it is legally transferred.

George had recently explained that the land at Vattavada Kottakkambur village belongs to his wife and him. It is part of the inherited ancestral property registered by his father in the couple’s names.

According to George, the land had been inherited after abiding by all legal formalities and its tax till March 31 had been paid. The details of the property, under the couple’s possession for the past nine years, had been submitted along with the nomination paper filed by him.
