NEW DELHI: All including me should make opposition leader V S Achuthanandan’s vigour our role model, said CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechuri. There is no retirement age for leaders in the party. This is applicable to all including VS, he said while briefing the decisions of the central committee meet.

VS is 92 years old. He is still active in party activities. His vigor should be made a role model and if it is so, then the party is expected to strengthen more. If the party continues this unity, then the party can easily assume power in the next assembly polls, Yechury said.
The increase in the votes of the BJP is a cause for concern. However, no leak has been witnessed in our votes. The votes of the congress have leaked to the BJP, he said.
