THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan has alleged that Chief Secretary Jiji Thomson committed corruption while helming Operation Ananda. “He gave Rs 30-crore project to his relatives without calling tenders. The government should also name all the beneficiaries of the government fund.” he said.
Achuthanandan said the chief secretary had breached the model code of conduct as he conducted press conference regarding Operation Ananda during the election time. “This was a mistake and a complaint will be lodged against the chief secretary in this regard,” VS said, adding that Jiji handed over golf club canteen to a private company to safeguard his personal interests.
