Chandrachoodan raps CPM; Cracks appear in RSP central leadership

NEW DELHI: Difference of opinion has surfaced in the RSP central leadership, following the RSP Kerala unit’s decision to leave LDF and contest from UDF side.

When party national secretary T J Chandrachoodan along with party’s Kerala unit criticised CPM leaders, a faction in the central leadership has taken the opposite view. In the Bengal unit also the same scenario exists.

On Tuesday, Chandrachodan openly said that CPM leader Pinarayi Vijayan has pawned his soul for pirates, killers and monopolists. He also called V S Achuthanandan a fraud and said that his stand was a mistake.

The RSP leader asked why the solar agitation and secretariat blockade were called off. “If the party wins under UDF ticket, it will function as a constituent of UPA,” he asserted.

In Bengal if the RSP candidate wins from LDF seat, the situation will get weird in New Delhi. The whip will be applicable to a party with more than one member, and in that case RSP will be in trouble and may head towards a split.
