THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said that K Karunakaran’s resignation as chief minister had no connection with ISRO espionage case. “The allegation that I demanded his resignation is wrong. How can I, who was then a member in his cabinet, demand his resignation,” Chandy asked a private channel during an interview.
“Lok Sabha election result will be the evaluation of the State government’s performance. If the UDF loses, I will be responsible. After the election, there will be changes in the cabinet. Ganesh Kumar’s entry into the cabinet will be discussed by the UDF,” he said.
Chandy also added that RSP’s entry into the UDF was not pre-determined. The party was taken into the UDF after several rounds of discussions by the front and the Congress party.
