NEW DELHI: Delhi police have found out that Indian Mujahideen member and Pak terrorist Waqas Ahammed possessed SIM card registered in Kerala. He lived in Munnar on fake address of a native of Pune, Waqas Ahammed. Similarly the SIM was taken using fake address.
Later the SIM was handed over to Indian Mujahideen chief and native of Bihar Tahseen Akthar, who reached Waqas’ house in December and worked in a hotel nearby.
On the pretext of distributing mobile phones, Waqas stayed in a rented house in Munnar for three months. Police have been investigating details about persons who might have visited Waqas and helped him in buying SIM cards.
Waqas and Akthar who lived in 310 flat on the third floor of Cyber heights apartment fin Mangalapurm fled for Kerala after the arrest of Indian Mujahideen leader Yasin Bhatkal.
