Alappuzha: SNDP Youth movement calls for hartal tomorrow

Sunday, February 26, 2012: The SNDP Youth movement activists has called for a hartal in the district tomorrow as a protest against the incident in which five activists were injured during a protest march to Alappuzha TD high school on Sunday.
Several SNDP Youth movement activists went on a rampage in the Alappuzha TD high school during a protest, disrupting examinations and tearing the answer papers.
The agitators barged into the halls where the examinations to the Travancore Devaswom Board were being conducted and snatched the answer papers from the candidates and tore them.
The agitators alleged that the examinations to the Devaswom Board were conducted without following the reservation norms.
The enraged candidates along with the locals manhandled the activists. The local police soon reached the spot and arrested the protestors.
