Hartal total in Kannur district

February 21,2012 : Hartal called separately by the UDF and LDF in the district in protest against the violence Monday has paralised the district Tuesday.
Police have imposed curfew in seven places in view of the violence Sunday.
CPM district secretary, P Jayarajan, T V Rajesh, MLA and another CPM leader K Balakrishnan, were hospitalised after they were pelted with stones while proceeding in a car to visit party worker, who was hacked and was undergoing treatment, CPM sources said.
