Assembly panel rejects VA Arun Kumar’s plea

Monday, February 27, 2012: The Assembly panel led by VD Satheesan today rejected VA Arunkumar’s request to give him copies of the statements of those who had deposed against him.
Arun Kumar had earlier urged the Assembly panel to allow him to present his version in the ICT and IHRD appointment scam, before the finalisation of the report.
Arunkumar has pointed out that going by the version and statements of many who had deposed against him in front of the panel presenting facts and countering them has become imperative.
The panel is expected to finalise its report on its March 2 sitting. The report will be submitted to the Speaker on March 8.
