B’lore blast case: Maudani’s plea rejected

Saturday, February 25, 2012: A special Court here on Saturday dismissed the plea filed by PDP leader Abdul Nasser Maudani seeking removal of his name from the 2008 Bangalore serial blasts.
The Court instructed that Maudani must face trial in the case. Maudani, who is among 31 persons charge sheeted in the case, had earlier sought bail on the grounds that there was no prima facie case against him to implicate him in the blasts.
The PDP leader was taken into custody from an orphanage-cum madrassa in Anwarssery in Kerala on August 17 last year, later brought here and lodged in Bangalore Central jail.
