Traders in Kerala to down shutters on Wednesday

Tuesday, February 21, 2012: Traders owing allegiance to the Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi will down shutters on Wednesday as part of a State-wide protest against Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the retail sector.
Hundreds of traders from Kerala would take out a March to the Parliament tomorrow as a protest against the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government’s move to allow FDI in the retail sector in the country.
Vyapari Vyavasayi informed that the agitation would be escalated if the government went ahead with the proposed move.
