Friday, February 4, 2012: Justice D Sreedevi, Kerala Women’s Commission Chairman has said that evidence will be collected from MR Jayageetha, poet and Research Officer in the State Planning Board.She added that the issue will be brought into attention of National Women’s panel if needed.
Jayageetha, a regular passenger of the train, was alone in a compartment when one of the ticket examiners asked her to come and join them in another compartment on Friday evening. Jayageetha informed about the misbehaviour to her husband and DYFI Kollam area secretary Shivaprasad. He immediately reached the railway station when the train arrived around 7 pm.
The two ticket examiners allegedly showered abusive words on Shivaprasad and Jayageetha. Following this, the couple met the Station Manager and lodged a complaint. Meanwhile, the railway withdrew the suspension of two ticket examiners identified as Jafar and Praveen on Tuesday. The suspension was withdrawn saying the complaint lodged against the two doesn’t exist.

The railway issue any no; of tickets to the passengers on demand witout any limit or controls so that they can collect maximum money fromthe people .But when we travel by that ticket railway takes no responsibility of the ticket and the passengers are harrassed to the maximum and all the rules are against the passengers. This is atype of public corruption and cheating This is the actual problem to be addressed against the railway authorities HASEENA
Malayalikale pole njarambu rogikaL vere oru statilum kaanilla. It is not only the problem with a couple of TTEs. The whole system is rotten. Ms. Jayageetha needs to be applauded for showing the courage to fight against this rotten system. But I doubt whether she is going to get justice.
Funny thing is I read a comment in FB Reporter. One lady named Sandhya came out with this most outrageous argument that Jayageetha is after a personal vendetta against this TTE simply because he didn't let her travel in first class. She even went to the extent of allegeing that Jayageetha is"living together" without even legally married !!! A woman is making this allegation just to tarnish her image (From some reliable sources found that she was legally married to her husband ). The bottomline is it is woman who is the most vehement opponent of another woman !! If a woman is sexually assaulted in a bus, another woman criticize her for her improper dress for the cause of that act !!
