Gokulam MCH nurses to begin indefinite strike today

Sunday, February 26, 2012: The nurses of the Venjaramoodu Gokulam Medical college hospital would begin an indefinite hunger strike from today. The talks held between the Labour officer, Management and striking nurses yesterday had failed to reach consensus.
The Nurses’ association informed that the nurses of the Intensive care unit would also take part in the strike. The nurses had gone on strike from today demanding better wages.
Though the staff nurses and the hospital management had reached an agreement regarding the wages the nurses decided to enter into a strike again because of the delay in implementation and to press their demand to take back colleagues who have been dismissed
