Kerala Budget session begins

Thursday, March 1, 2012: The budget session of the Kerala Assembly began with the address of the Governor HR Bhardwaj at 9 am on Thursday.
The session is to continue till April 4. However, there will be no sittings between March 9 and 18 as the members would be busy with the campaigning. The House is assembling at a time when the political mercury is already high in the state on account of the crucial assembly by-election from the Piravom segment on March 17.
