Piravom by-poll: Final voters’ list to be published today

Wednesday, February 29, 2012: The final voters’ list for the by-election to the Piravom Assembly constituency will be published today. The nominations could be submitted between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on working days till today.
The scrutiny of nominations would take place on March 1. The last date for withdrawal of nominations would be March 3.
There would be restriction on people accompanying the candidates and the process of submission of nominations would be recorded as video. A candidate would be permitted to submit only a maximum of four sets of nominations, the release said.
10 days are required for processing applications for inclusion in the voters’ list, including notice period of seven days.
