Kozhikode monorail is practical: Sreedharan

 Sunday, February 26, 2012: E Sreedharan, former MD of
Delhi Metro Rail on Sunday said that Kozhikode monorail is technically practical. He conducted a survey of the alignment for the proposed monorail project.
The detailed report is to be prepared, and further initiatives in the matter would be finalised after meeting with PWD Minister VK Ebrahim Kunju, he added.
The first phase of the monorail project envisages a double lane route from Medical College to Meenchanda running over 13 kilometers.
